The Szent Gellért Fórum opened in Szeged on 28 August 2019, and instead of a football match, the first event under its roof was a concert by Plácido Domingo.
The pitch itself sets it apart from most grounds of its size. Builder FS Group laid a hybrid surface — natural grass reinforced with a synthetic support system — across 29,050 square metres, then ringed the main field with artificial turf to make the surrounding area more usable.
The arena serves as home to Szeged-Csanád Grosics Akadémia, and it also carries the club's name in its fuller title, Szeged-Csanád Grosics Akadémia Centerpálya. It stands at Dorozsmai út 2-4.
