Stadium
Topvar Aréna
Topoľčany, Slovakia
Formerly: Zimný štadión Topoľčany
The Topvar Aréna in Topoľčany does not pretend to be a cathedral of sport. HC Topoľčany plays here. The arena itself carries a name that has been in use since at least 1987, when the local brewery became the sponsor. Before that, it was simply the Zimný štadión Topoľčany.
There is a football stadium in town, Štadión Vojtecha Schotterta, but it is a separate entity, further down the road on Dr. P. Adámiho. The Topvar Aréna does not host football; it hosts ice hockey. The building stands at Puškinova 1, a functional address for a functional building.
