Ystad Arena The construction was handled by NCC Construction Sverige AB, which had to fit a 2,700-seat arena into a space that already belonged to the town’s older infrastructure. The main hall’s floor is a synthetic vinyl system, Gerflor Taraflex.

The name was chosen in June 2014 after a public debate rejected the proposal to call it Åvalla. There were no naming rights sponsors; the town simply went with Ystad Arena. The secondary training hall, B-hallen, holds 500 spectators and is used for practice sessions.

It serves as the home venue for handball clubs Ystads IF and IFK Ystad HK, and also hosts IK Pandora HF. The arena has hosted international matches, including friendlies for the Swedish national team and EHF European League games. It also came into use for concerts, such as the band Sabaton’s tour in February 2023, and the Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival.
