Zimný štadión Kežmarok

The original structure on this site was dismantled long ago, leaving a gap in the city's history. The current building rose from that silence, taking its place on a plot where the ice has frozen for decades.

The year 2018 marked the beginning of the current era for this ground, when the new Arena Kežmarok opened its doors. It replaced a previous version that had seen better days, having been wrecked by the floods of 2010 and left as a skeleton while plans for a Winter Deaflympics bid crumbled. The cost of bringing this building back to life was nearly two million euros, a sum that included a grant from the government. The capacity remains the same as before: three thousand people can fill the stands.

MHK Kežmarok has called this place home since the club was first formed in 1931, playing through every change of name and every shift in the Slovak hockey landscape.
