Orhus Fremad claimed a narrow 2-1 victory over Kolding in the First Division's seventh round of fixtures on Saturday. The hosts took all three points at home, extending their unbeaten run to five matches across all competitions. Kolding's away form continues to trouble them as they remain rooted in the lower half of the table.
H. Hollsberg opened the scoring in the eighteenth minute, catching Kolding's defence off guard. The goal gave Orhus control of the tempo early, and they kept knocking on the door throughout the first half. Kolding struggled to create anything meaningful, their attacks lacking the sharpness needed to trouble the home side.
And here's the thing about this match — it swung on two goals within fourteen minutes. S. Andreasen pulled one back for Kolding in the sixty-third minute, giving his side hope. But M. Kaastrup responded immediately for Orhus, firing home in the seventy-second to put the game to bed early.
To be fair, the statistics show Orhus deserved their dominance. They held 62 per cent possession and registered five shots on target compared to Kolding's two. Kolding managed more total shots — six to five — but couldn't find the accuracy to trouble the Orhus goalkeeper.
By then, the table told its own story. Orhus sit fourth with twelve points from seven games, three wins and three draws propelling them into contention. Kolding languish in ninth with just six points, their single victory doing little to ease the pressure on their campaign.
