Match report

Warriors beat Colon-County 3:0 in the opening match of the Premier League regular season on Saturday evening. The hosts took all three points at the start of the campaign, with the result decided well before the final whistle.

Y. T. Chan gave Warriors an early lead at the 17th minute, and by then the visitors were already on the back foot. Tsang Kam-To saw red at 29 minutes, which meant Colon-County had nothing to lose and everything to defend. Warriors doubled their advantage before the break when B. Kraev scored at 36 minutes.

And here's the thing about red cards — they don't just change the numbers on the pitch. Colon-County tried to manage the deficit, but the extra man made all the difference. E. Villalobos added a third goal at 85 minutes, and the visitors found no answer to the pressure.

There were plenty of changes on the side. Warriors brought on L. Ho at 46 minutes, while Colon-County made three substitutions around the 73rd minute — N. Popovic, Kim Min-sub, and N. Baffoe. Later in the game, Warriors also made three changes at 88 minutes, bringing on C. R. Wu, S. Lucena, and W. Chiu. Y. T. Chan was substituted at 90+3 minutes.

Discipline was an issue for Colon-County throughout. D. Eli received a yellow card at 24 minutes, D. Tursunov at 53 minutes, and C. R. Wu at 65 minutes. Warriors kept their side in control without accumulating cards of their own.

This was the first match of the season for both sides, so the table remains empty — zero games, zero points for everyone. What matters now is the three points Warriors have taken, and the pattern they set on the opening day.
