Aleksandr Bem

Aleksandr Bem joined Chelyabinsk on a free transfer, signing a two-year contract, after spending almost the whole of his career to date at Tyumen. He arrived there as a teenager, coming through the club's Tyumen-2 youth side before breaking into the first team in 2017, and by the end of his time there he was wearing the captain's armband.

His time at Tyumen was built on availability as much as anything else: in the 2022 season he missed only a single league match, a run of fitness that underlined why he became such a fixture at the back. Across his years with the club he made 187 appearances in the Russian championship and scored 9 goals, contributing at both ends of the pitch as a defender. That consistency was rewarded in December 2022, when he was named the Best Footballer of the Tyumen Region.

Tyumen's own success came alongside his rise through the side. He won the Second League (Division B) title with the club in the 2022/2023 season, having taken bronze in the same division the year before.

Before any of that, Bem had already had a taste of international football at youth level, collecting seven caps for Russia's junior sides — two for the under-16s in 2016 and five for the under-18s in 2019.

Bem brings that record of near ever-presence to Chelyabinsk, where he continues his career wearing the number 72 shirt.
