About the player
Adam Kiani came up through Västerås SK before joining AIK Solna's academy, where he played for the U17 and U19 sides. He made his senior debut for AIK in a friendly in April 2022, though a competitive first-team appearance for the Stockholm club never came. Instead, the path forward opened elsewhere: that July he moved to Sandviken IF on loan, then in Ettan Norra, the third tier of Swedish football.
His 2023 season stood out in particular — 28 league appearances and two goals as the club pushed through a promotion campaign. In the current Superettan campaign he has continued in the same role, starting all 17 of his appearances so far and adding a goal of his own, alongside four yellow cards.
Kiani holds both Swedish and Iranian citizenship.
