About the player
Antoine Semenyo was fed into Bristol City's academy in 2017. Loan spells followed at Bath City and Newport County before he broke into Bristol City's own side, and by the time he left in 2023 he had made 112 league appearances and scored 16 goals.
His move to Bournemouth in January 2023 came for an initial £9 million, a fee that could rise to £10.5 million with add-ons. He went on to make 101 league appearances for the club and scored 30 goals, form that saw him nominated for Bournemouth's Player of the Season in 2023/24.
He was named Premier League Player of the Month for February 2026, and by the end of the season he had been named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year — the first Ghanaian player to receive that honour — and nominated for the Premier League Player of the Season.
His international story has run in parallel. He has since played at the 2022 World Cup, the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2026 World Cup, taking his tally to 38 caps and three goals for his country.
