A. Staff

Alexander Staff came through Eintracht Frankfurt's youth ranks after arriving from SV Darmstadt 98 as a boy, and he made his mark early: on 5 November 2024 he scored against SV Eintracht Trier and became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the Regionalliga Südwest, then still turning out for Frankfurt's second team. The step up to the first team followed in January 2026, when he made his senior debut in the Champions League against Qarabağ.

His form for Germany's youth sides has run in parallel. Staff has 14 caps and nine goals for the German U17s, a return that included the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and in October 2025 it earned him the Fritz Walter Medal in gold for the category. He has since added caps at U18 level. Born in Dieburg, he is eligible to represent both Germany and the United States, though so far all of his youth football has come for the German set-up.

For the 2026/2027 season, Frankfurt sent him out on loan to 1. FC Saarbrücken in the 3. Liga, a move announced in late June 2026 without a purchase option attached. By September he had made four appearances there, in matches against Meppen, Hansa Rostock, Hertha BSC and Jahn Regensburg.
