Aleksey Kuznetsov

Aleksey Kuznetsov came up through the Chertanovo academy in Moscow, making his senior debut for the club and appearing in 22 matches before spells at Volga Nizhny Novgorod and Zimbru Chisinau, where he did not add to his official appearance tally. His career took shape at Dynamo Bryansk, where he made 103 appearances between 2017 and 2021 and was voted the club's best player by supporters for the 2020/21 season.

His move to Ufa in June 2021 was followed by a notable achievement: in a Russian Cup tie against Legion Dynamo that September, he saved five penalties. A loan to Veles Moscow followed in February 2022, turned into a permanent deal that August and lasted until June 2024, with his appearance count for the club recorded differently depending on the source.

Kuznetsov joined SKA Khabarovsk in July 2024, taking the number 1 shirt and making 18 appearances, including in the Russian Cup. At youth level, he was part of the Russia squad that won the 2013 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, though as backup goalkeeper he did not play in the tournament itself. He also collected caps for Russia's under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-21 sides. His honours from that period include the Russian Youth/Schools championship with Chertanovo in 2012, the Montagu Cup in 2013 — where he was named the tournament's best goalkeeper — and the Russian Championship among interregional associations in 2011 and 2012. He has not been capped by the senior national team.
