About the player
André Lopes joined Feirense in January 2026 as a free agent, arriving from Czech side FC Zlín after a short and difficult spell there — two appearances, only one of them a start, before he left in December. The left-back, born in Lisbon, came up through a string of academies in the city, including Sacavenense and Cova da Piedade. He made his top-flight debut for Belenenses SAD in the Primeira Liga in November 2021.
A move to Mafra in February 2023 gave him a settled run in the Segunda Liga, with 22 appearances for the club before he left in the summer of 2024. He then spent a season with Porto's B team, making eight appearances in the 2024–25 campaign. The switch to Zlín last July was meant to be a longer-term move, agreed on a two-year contract, but it did not work out, and by December he was without a club again.
Feirense have now given him that fresh start, a familiar pattern for a defender still searching for the club where he can build a run of consistent football. Left-footed and 184cm tall, he plays specifically as a left-back.
