Anto Breslin

Anto Breslin's route into League of Ireland football ran through England. He joined Wolverhampton Wanderers' academy in 2013, made his senior debut in the EFL Trophy in October 2016, and had a loan spell at Tamworth, but he was released by Wolves in May 2018.

Back in Ireland, he rebuilt his career at Longford Town, where his 2019 season, 27 appearances and a goal, was strong enough to earn him a place in the PFAI First Division Team of the Year. Bohemians signed him that November, and over two seasons he made 45 appearances for the Dublin club. He was an unused substitute when Bohemians lost the 2021 FAI Cup final to St Patrick's Athletic, the club he joined weeks later on a free transfer.

At St Patrick's Athletic, Breslin found the consistency that had eluded him earlier in his career. He has made over 170 appearances for the club and reached his century of appearances against Derry City in May 2024. The high point came in 2023, when he played the full 90 minutes as St Patrick's beat his former club Bohemians 3-1 in the FAI Cup final in front of a record crowd of 43,881. He added a Leinster Senior Cup winner's medal the following season and signed a contract extension with St Patrick's in October 2024.

Breslin came through Ireland's youth international setup, representing his country from under-15 to under-19 level, though he has not been capped at senior level.
