About the player
August Söderholm has never worn another club's shirt. Every step of his career so far has run through Sandvikens IF, from the youth ranks up to the first team, and his promotion in 2024 was an internal one rather than a transfer. He made his senior debut for the club in a Superettan fixture against Varbergs BoIS, coming on as a substitute in a match Sandvikens IF won 1-0.
Since then, he has continued to feature around the first-team squad, including a place on the bench for a Swedish Cup tie against Assyriska FF. He has also passed through regional development programmes, having taken part in Distrikt Gestrikland and Riksläger Lag 2 FT Pojk selections as a young player, though he has not yet been called into any Sweden youth squad at official level.
At club level, Söderholm's path has been a steady, uninterrupted climb rather than one marked by a single defining moment: from Sandvikens AIK's development side into the Sandvikens IF U19 team, and from there into contention with the seniors. He has not yet won a title or an individual award.
