About the player
Aybar Zhaksylykov joined Yelimay Semey in January 2026 as a forward. He came through the ranks at Zhetysu, first with the club's reserve side, where he scored 21 goals in 40 appearances, before stepping up to the first team for three seasons and adding around 15 more goals in the Kazakhstan Premier League. That scoring record carried him to Tobol in 2022, where he played 23 league matches and scored three times; the club finished third in the league.
A move to Ordabasy in 2023 brought the club crowns as Kazakhstan Premier League champions, with Zhaksylykov contributing two goals in 14 appearances. Across his league career he has scored 38 goals, a tally that places him among the top 100 scorers in Kazakhstan Premier League history.
Zhaksylykov has also represented Kazakhstan at international level, making his debut in a UEFA Nations League match against Albania in October 2020 that finished goalless. He has since earned 17 caps for the national team, though he is yet to open his scoring account at that level.
