About the player
Bilal Ceylan came through the Eskişehirspor academy before Beşiktaş signed him in January 2021 for a fee of 3 million Turkish lira plus a sell-on clause. He was part of the Beşiktaş squad that won the Süper Lig title that season and added the Turkish Cup a few months later, though the appearances never came for him at that level.
What followed was a run of loans that took him around the lower divisions: Bandırmaspor, Çankaya FK, Nazilli Belediyespor and Karşıyaka. It was at Nazilli, in the TFF 2. Lig, that he found the most regular football of that period, making more than twenty appearances. Beşiktaş let him go in July 2024, and he joined Serik Belediyespor on a free transfer on a two-year deal, featuring for the club across the 2. Lig and 1. Lig.
Ceylan's representative honours have stayed at youth level. He won two caps for Turkey's U19 side without scoring, a period that included the qualifying rounds for the 2022 UEFA U19 European Championship. He was also called into a Turkey U21 training camp in January 2021 ahead of qualifiers against Kosovo, Ukraine and Hungary, though that call-up did not translate into an appearance for the age group.
