About the player
Camilo Andrés Durán Márquez arrived at Qarabağ FK in August 2025 from Portimonense. In the 2025–2026 European campaign he scored against Benfica, Ajax and Newcastle United, and struck twice in a 3–2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. Across the season he finished with 45 appearances and 15 goals for Qarabağ, nine of them in the Azerbaijan Premier League.
Born in Santa Marta, Colombia, he came through the youth ranks at Independiente Medellín and then Flamengo without making a senior appearance for either. He joined SC Lusitânia and scored 19 goals in 20 appearances in the District Championships during the 2022–2023 season, helping the club to promotion. A move to Estrela da Amadora followed, though he featured only for the reserve side in the Liga Revelação rather than the first team.
In July 2026, Durán left Qarabağ for Celtic. He was called up to the Colombian national team for the first time in September 2026, having previously represented the country at under-20 level.
