Daniel Glaiber

Daniel Glaiber came through the youth system at SV 07 Heddernheim before moving to FSV Frankfurt in 2015, where he stayed until a free transfer took him to Mainz 05 in 2020. He was part of the Mainz side that won the German Under-19 Bundesliga title. In the 2023–24 season he was handed regular football with the reserve team, Mainz 05 II, in the Regionalliga Südwest, making 41 appearances and scoring five goals for the second string.

His breakthrough came on 3 January 2025, when he signed his first professional contract with Mainz 05, tying him to the club until 30 June 2028. He made his senior debut for the first team in the DFB-Pokal during the 2024–25 season, a first taste of senior football after years in the academy.

In 2026, Mainz sent the midfielder out on loan to 1. FC Saarbrücken, where he has featured in the 3. Liga and the DFB-Pokal. He has yet to register a goal or an assist in senior competition for Saarbrücken. There is no record of Glaiber having represented Germany at senior international level, nor of any individual awards to his name so far. His surname has occasionally led to confusion with Ludwig Glaiber, a player who was active decades earlier, though the two are unrelated.
