About the player
Dante Gilbert arrived at Dukla Praha in January 2026 as a free agent. He began at San Juan Jabloteh in Trinidad and Tobago in 2023, where he scored the club's first goal in the TT Premier Football League that season. In September 2023 he signed a two-year deal with PSV Eindhoven, joining the Dutch club's reserve side, Jong PSV, in the Eerste Divisie.
He stayed with Jong PSV until 2025, making 46 appearances and scoring 8 goals in the Dutch second tier. From there he moved to Hungary, signing for Nyíregyháza Spartacus in September 2025, though his stint was brief: eight appearances before he left as a free agent and, months later, joined Dukla Praha.
At international level, Gilbert has become a regular feature for Trinidad and Tobago, with 10 senior caps to date. His first goal for the national side came against Cuba in the CONCACAF Nations League in October 2024.
He now takes on a new challenge in Czech football, arriving at Dukla with senior experience in the Caribbean, the Netherlands and Hungary already behind him.
