About the player
Denis Pokotilo came through the Chertanovo academy in Moscow before starting his senior career in Chelyabinsk, where he made his first appearances for the main squad in the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 seasons of the Second League's First Division. He also featured for FC Chelyabinsk-2 in the Second League B.
The 2025/2026 season took him away from Chelyabinsk on loan to Sibir in Novosibirsk, and it was there that his season took shape. Across 32 matches in the Second League's Division A Gold Group, Pokotilo scored 10 goals, finishing as the club's top scorer. He picked up three yellow cards in a five-match stretch during that campaign, the most bookings of any player in the league over that span.
Pokotilo has also represented Russia at under-17 level, winning two caps and scoring once for the youth side.
Chelyabinsk, the club that still holds his registration, finished the 2025/2026 season in 13th place in the First League.
