About the player
Born in Roquetas de Mar, he came through Real Murcia's academy after stints with Milan Schools, La Mojonera CF and Polideportivo Ejido, and made his senior debut for the club on 25 August 2012 against Sporting de Gijón.
In January 2022 he left Spain for Azerbaijan, joining Neftçi PFK on a free transfer. He made 55 league appearances and scored five goals there, though the club's title from 2020–21 came before his arrival, and Qarabağ FK took both championships during his time at Neftçi. He left in June 2024.
JDT completed a domestic treble in 2024, winning the Malaysia Super League, the Malaysia Cup and the Malaysia FA Cup, and İsrafilov has made over two dozen appearances for the club with two goals to his name.
At international level, İsrafilov has represented Azerbaijan on 26 occasions since making his debut as a substitute against Malta in a Euro 2016 qualifier on 28 March 2015, a match Azerbaijan won 2–0. He has yet to score for the national side.
