Giorgi Zaria

Giorgi Zaria's most productive spell came at Kairat Almaty, where he arrived on a free transfer in January 2024. He helped the club to the Kazakhstan Premier League title that year and again in 2025, adding the Kazakhstan Super Cup the following season. His form earned him individual recognition too: he was named Kazakhstan Premier League Midfielder of the Year and Best New Player in 2024. Across his time at Kairat he made 41 league appearances and scored 11 league goals, 55 and 12 respectively including other competitions.

Zaria's career began at Sasco Tbilisi before a move to Dinamo Tbilisi in 2015 gave him his first extended run of first-team football; he stayed there until 2020, making 66 league appearances and scoring 6 goals. A free transfer to Dinamo Batumi in January 2021 followed, and it was there that he had his best goalscoring return, with 14 league goals in 87 appearances between 2021 and 2023.

He made his senior debut for Georgia on 5 September 2021, coming on in a World Cup qualifier against Spain that Georgia lost 4–0. His second cap came more than three years later, in the UEFA Nations League play-offs against Armenia in March 2025; he was not part of Georgia's squad for Euro 2024.

In March 2026, Zaria returned to Dinamo Tbilisi on a free transfer, before moving on again to Aktobe by June the same year.
