Georgy Zhukov

Georgy Zhukov's career began far from Kazakhstan: born in Semey, he joined Beerschot AC before moving on to Standard Liège, where he also earned caps for the Belgium under-19 side. He helped Astana to back-to-back Kazakhstan Premier League titles before a further loan took him to Roda JC Kerkrade in the Netherlands.

A short stint at FC Ural Yekaterinburg followed his permanent departure from Standard, but his most productive years came at FC Kairat, whom he joined in 2017 for a reported fee of around a million euros. Over three seasons he made 69 league appearances and won the Kazakhstan Cup twice, in 2017 and 2018, adding the Kazakhstan Super Cup in 2017. He has earned 27 caps since his senior debut in 2015.

Zhukov then tested himself abroad again, spending two seasons with Wisła Kraków in Poland before a move to China, where he signed for Cangzhou Mighty Lions in August 2022. He was a fixture in the Chinese Super League side for two seasons, scoring against Meizhou Hakka in September 2024 among his 66 league appearances, before his contract ran out at the end of that year. A brief return to Poland with Puszcza Niepołomice preceded his move to Aktobe in the middle of 2025.
