Gonzalo Zelarayán

Football at Belgrano runs in the family for Gonzalo Zelarayán. He began at the club's academy at the age of four, joined the Cebollitas at eight, and worked his way through every youth category and the reserve side before reaching the first team. In 2022 he trained with Argentina's under-20 squad.

His clearest calling card so far came in the reserves rather than the first division. On 18 April 2025, in a match against Barracas Central's reserve team, he settled the game 1-0.

The first-team debut followed on 12 April 2025, in the Apertura against Boca Juniors. He also featured in a Copa Argentina win over Real Pilar and in a January 2025 friendly against Uruguay's Progreso, minutes that came alongside his continued run of appearances for the reserves in the Copa de la SAF Reserva through 2024 and 2025.

One assist stood out for reasons beyond the football: in May 2025, in a 3-0 win over Newell's Old Boys, Zelarayán set up a goal for his cousin, Lucas Zelarayán. Belgrano went on to win the Apertura title in 2026, and by August of that season he had logged 26 minutes and a goal in the competition.
