Gustavo

Gustavo did not settle in one country to make his name — he built his career in stages, from Brazil to Portugal, then South Korea, then China, and now Henan FC. He came through the Corinthians youth system and made his senior debut there in 2016, but the club used him mainly as a player to send out on loan, first to Goiás and Bahia in 2017, then Fortaleza in 2018 and Internacional in 2020, alongside earlier spells at Criciúma and a brief stint at Resende. Before that, in 2013, he had already won the Copa Santa Catarina with Joinville.

A move abroad in 2015 took him to Nacional in Portugal, with a loan back to Criciúma the following year. It was later in Portugal, at Boavista, that Gustavo had his most productive individual spell: he finished as top scorer of the Taça da Liga in the 2021–22 season and won the Primeira Liga's Goal of the Month award in September 2021.

By then, though, he had already moved on to Asian football. In July 2020, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors signed him in the K League 1 for a reported fee of €2.5 million, and he stayed with the South Korean club until 2023. He then switched to Chinese football in February 2024, joining Shanghai Port on a free transfer after his Jeonbuk contract expired, and remained there until December 2025.

In February 2026, Gustavo signed for Henan FC on another free transfer, the club where he now plays. His time in Brazil's top international setup was limited, and the available information does not point to a senior call-up with the Brazil national team.
