Ivan Yordanov

Yordanov came through Ludogorets Razgrad's own academy, having arrived there in 2017 after spells in the youth ranks of Rakovski and Botev Plovdiv. He was part of the group that won the Bulgarian U19 Championship in the 2018/19 season. A professional contract followed that December, and he made his first-team debut for Ludogorets in July 2019, though it took until the 2021/22 season for him to be permanently promoted to the senior squad.

In January 2023 he was sent out on loan to Spartak Varna for the rest of that season, a spell in which he made 16 league appearances and scored once, adding a further goal in two Bulgarian Cup outings. He returned to Ludogorets that June and has been part of a squad that has dominated domestically during his time there, with five Bulgarian First League titles, two Bulgarian Cups and two Bulgarian Supercups won along the way.

Yordanov's senior international debut came on 26 September 2022, when Bulgaria beat North Macedonia 1-0 in the UEFA Nations League. He has since added caps against Montenegro and Lithuania during Euro 2024 qualifying, as well as a friendly against Iran, taking his tally to four appearances for the national side without yet scoring.
