About the player
The turning point in Jubril Adedeji's career came in August 2020, when a serious ACL injury ruled him out for most of the season at HB Køge. He had joined the Danish side's academy in 2018 after leaving Watford's youth setup, having started out at Greenford Celtic in his native London. Promoted to the HB Køge first team in early 2019, he went on to make around 116 senior appearances and score 20 goals for the club before his contract expired.
Adedeji left HB Køge on a free transfer at the start of 2024, joining Aalborg on a contract running to June 2027. His first season at the club brought promotion to the Danish Superliga. In March 2025 he moved on loan to Norwegian side Lillestrøm SK for the rest of the year, a spell in which he scored five goals in six appearances for the reserve side while also winning the Norwegian Cup and the OBOS-ligaen title with the club, the latter securing Lillestrøm's own promotion. He returned to Aalborg later in 2025.
Born in Greenford to Nigerian parents, Adedeji holds dual English and Nigerian citizenship but has not yet featured for either country at senior international level.
