About the player
Janne Sietan came through the youth system at FC Energie Cottbus, rising from the club's academy to captain the under-19 side. When his time at Cottbus came to an end in 2021, he moved on to SV Babelsberg 03, where he played for three seasons before a free transfer took him to SV Waldhof Mannheim's 3. Liga squad in July 2024.
At Waldhof Mannheim, Sietan made around 24 league appearances in his first season without scoring, but set up seven goals for team-mates.
In the summer of 2026, Sietan left Waldhof Mannheim on a free transfer to join Rot-Weiss Essen, signing a contract running until 2028. He has not been capped by any German national team, from the youth sides through to the senior team.
