L. Pinero

Lisandro Piñero came through Banfield's academy, joining as a young player in 2018 and signing his first professional contract with the club on 26 July 2023. His debut in the first team came on 24 September 2024, away to Independiente Rivadavia, when he came off the bench in a match Banfield won 2-0.

That first season brought only two league appearances. In August 2025, a torn quadriceps kept him out of action until February 2026.

Since returning to training, Piñero has worn the number 7 shirt. In March 2026 he was named in a 26-man Argentina under-20 squad under coach Diego Placente for a friendly against the United States. He made his debut for the age-group side on 28 March 2026, in a match played at the AFA's training complex in Ezeiza and watched by Lionel Messi. Argentina lost 3-0 on the day.

A left winger by trade who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, Piñero is right-footed despite his preferred position on the left flank. He has not yet been called up to Argentina's senior national team, and neither he nor Banfield has collected a major trophy during his time at the club.
