Louis Samuel Reed

Louis Reed made his mark early: he came through Sheffield United's academy and made his senior debut against Rotherham United in April 2014 at the age of 16 years and 257 days, the youngest player ever to represent the club in league football. He signed his first professional contract that August. A loan at Chesterfield in 2017–18 gave him regular first-team football, and he repaid it with four goals in more than 40 appearances, earning the club's Player of the Year award.

Reed left Sheffield United for Peterborough United in June 2018 on a three-year deal, and was part of the squad that finished runners-up in League One in 2020–21, securing promotion before his contract ran out. He moved on as a free agent to Swindon Town, where he was voted the Players' Player of the Year for 2021–22.

In January 2023 he joined Mansfield Town, a switch manager Nigel Clough later described as coming for a "small fee".

In January 2026 he scored twice against his former club Sheffield United in the FA Cup Third Round, and the following month he struck the winner in a 2–1 away victory over Burnley in the Fourth Round, sending Mansfield into the Fifth Round for the first time in 51 years. He also found the net against Reading in March 2026.

At youth level, Reed represented England at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20.
