Lazar Marin

Lazar Marin's career has been a series of returns. He made 41 appearances and scored three goals for the Plovdiv club between 2012 and 2016.

He returned to Botev Plovdiv in 2017 and helped the club win the Bulgarian Cup that season, adding the Bulgarian Super Cup the same year.

In 2018 Marin moved abroad for the only time in his career, joining Torpedo Kutaisi in Georgia, where he won the Georgian Cup. He came back to Botev Plovdiv for a third spell in 2019 before a longer stay at CSKA 1948 from 2020, where he made 65 appearances for the first team over several seasons. A move to Levski Sofia was discussed in July 2020 but did not go through.

Marin later played for Hebar Pazardzhik and Krumovgrad before joining Slavia Sofia in 2025, wearing the number 24 shirt. He has represented Bulgaria's under-21 side on five occasions but has not been capped at senior level.

Injury problems have featured in his career. He was substituted at half-time after picking up an injury against Beroe in April 2015, and more recently missed several weeks over the turn of the year after suffering knee joint haemarthrosis, an issue that kept him out from late December 2025 into early January 2026.
