Leon Musaev

Leon Musaev came through Zenit Saint Petersburg's own academy, spending four years with the reserve side, Zenit-2, before working his way into the first team. His senior involvement was modest in playing time but rich in medals: he was registered with Zenit's squad across the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons, years in which the club won back-to-back Russian Premier League titles, added the Russian Cup, and lifted the Russian Super Cup. His own appearances were limited to a handful of league outings and a single Europa League and Russian Cup game, but he was part of that winning group as a teenager.

Musaev left Saint Petersburg in January 2021 for Rubin Kazan in a move worth around €500,000.

His stay back at Rubin was brief. In July 2024 he moved on again, this time to Rodina Moscow for a fee of €120,000, signing a contract through to the middle of 2027.

Musaev's representative career has so far stopped short of the senior Russia side. He was capped repeatedly at youth level, appearing for the under-17s, under-18s, under-19s and under-21s.
