Lucas Blondo

Lucas Blondo is a product of Volendam football. He came through the youth ranks at local club RKAV Volendam before moving into FC Volendam's setup in 2022 via the joint "Voetbal Volendam" development programme, spending two seasons with the club's under-18 side.

His path to the first team came quickly once he arrived. In September 2024 he signed his first professional contract with FC Volendam, and within days had made his senior debut, coming on as a substitute in the 70th minute of an Eerste Divisie match against TOP Oss that Volendam won 4-0.

Since then, appearances have come steadily rather than in a rush. Blondo has featured in the Eerste Divisie mostly as a starter, with a handful of outings to his name and no goals or assists yet on his senior record. He has not featured in the Dutch Cup.

One recurring footnote in his career so far has nothing to do with performance: Blondo is frequently confused with the Argentine full-back Lucas Blondel, despite the two having no connection. Blondo's football has been entirely local — born and raised in Volendam, developed by Volendam.
