M. Monaco

Seven years in the Sarmiento academy came before the paperwork: Manuel Mónaco signed his first professional contract with the club on 18 February 2022, and waited a further eleven months for his senior debut in January 2023. The reserve side he came through won a championship during his time there.

He arrived at Sarmiento from Club Sportivo Bragado, the club of his home town, where he first played.

The senior career has been built largely elsewhere. In July 2025 Sarmiento sent him to Internacional de Bogotá in Colombia, a club associated with La Equidad, and he made 18 appearances there across the 2025 season, scoring twice. He returned to Junín when the spell ended.

A second loan followed in July 2026, this time to Acassuso of the Primera Nacional, where he remains. He is due back at Sarmiento in January 2027.

Mónaco plays as an attacking midfielder or on the wing, left-footed. No transfer fee has been recorded for any of his moves; the loans are understood to have been free. He has not been capped by the senior Argentina national team, and his record carries no individual awards.
