Mikhail Golubnichiy

Mikhail Golubnichiy's biggest test at Okzhetpes came almost as soon as he arrived. In his debut season with the club in 2017, he was limited to three league matches — one of them a 0-4 defeat to Astana in which he conceded four goals. Across that short run he let in nine goals in total. He stayed with Okzhetpes into 2018 before moving on.

The Pavlodar-born goalkeeper had joined Okzhetpes after a spell at Astana, where he had been a backup rather than a starter, making six league appearances and one in the cup behind Nenad Erić and Aleksandr Mokhov. Even so, he was part of the squad when Astana won the Kazakhstan Premier League title in 2015, the one major honour of his career to date. Before that, he had come through Irtysh Pavlodar's youth ranks and made his senior bow with the same club without breaking into the first team, before a season at Bayterek and a loan at Kyzylzhar gave him regular minutes.

Golubnichiy's career since has been an itinerant one across the Kazakhstani leagues, taking in spells at Aksu, Atyrau, Zhetysu and Batyr Ekibastuz, including loan spells at Ekibastuz. He represented Kazakhstan at youth level, with caps at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21, though he has not been capped by the senior national team.
