Mitja Križan

Mitja Križan grew up through the Slovenian league pyramid, starting out at NK Aluminij Kidričevo before a move to NK Celje. It was a loan spell at NK Drava Ptuj, though, that showed what he could do in front of goal, with four goals in ten Second League appearances. A short stint at NK Fužinar produced an even sharper return — nine goals in sixteen games — and by the time he joined NK Bravo in 2018, Križan had built a reputation. He was part of the Bravo side that won promotion from Slovenia's Second League to the PrvaLiga that season.

In February 2023, Križan moved to Rodina Moscow for a reported fee of €200,000. He settled into the Russian First League, passing a century of appearances for the club across three seasons. Rodina secured promotion to the Russian Premier League with victory over Chelyabinsk, then went on to win the First League title outright with a 4–1 win over Arsenal Tula. Križan made his Premier League debut against Spartak Moscow shortly after.

He has represented Slovenia at Under-21 level, including fixtures against France and Norway, though a senior call-up has not yet followed.
