About the player
Nicolás Barros Schelotto came through Los Angeles Galaxy's academy before crossing to Ventura County, the club's MLS Next Pro affiliate, in 2023. Two seasons there brought him steady game time without a single goal to his name — 12 appearances in his first year, 14 more plus a US Open Cup outing in his second, 26 in total.
He returned to Argentina in February 2025, joining Gimnasia La Plata . The move drew little fanfare and the fee went unpublished.
Since then he has become a regular in the Gimnasia midfield, with more than twenty league appearances and a handful of goals, plus one in the Copa Argentina.
