About the player
Nan Song came through the Yanbian Funde academy from 2010, but in 2015 he refused to sign a professional contract with the club. A trial with Albirex Niigata in Japan the following year did not lead to a deal, and it was only in July 2016 that he signed his first professional contract, with Bucheon FC 1995 in South Korea. Appearances there were sparse — three league games and one cup match in 2018 stand out from his time in Bucheon. A loan to Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic in 2017 gave him his first real run in Chinese football, with 27 league appearances and three goals in the Chinese Super League, made possible once the Yanbian dispute was finally settled. His move to Shenzhen Xinpengcheng in 2021 saw him make 30 league appearances and score two goals in China League One. He returned to Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic in 2022 before going back to Shenzhen.
