Oihan Sancet Tirapu

Oihan Sancet grew up in Pamplona and came through the Osasuna academy before Athletic Club signed him for their Lezama academy in 2015. He worked his way through Bilbao Athletic in the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons before making his first-team debut against Barcelona. In 2024 he committed his future to the club with a contract extension running until 2032, making him a one-club man at senior level.

Sancet had his best individual spell in February 2025, when he scored six goals in four matches, including a hat-trick against Girona, form that earned him the La Liga Player of the Month award. That run came alongside collective success: he won the Copa del Rey with Athletic in the 2023–24 season and the Supercopa de España in 2021.

Sancet had already gone through the Spain youth ranks, winning gold with the under-18s at the 2018 Mediterranean Games and reaching the final of the 2023 European Under-21 Championship, where he scored in the semi-final against Ukraine as Spain finished runners-up. His senior debut came in October 2023 in a Euro 2024 qualifier against Scotland, and he marked it by scoring the second goal in a 2–0 win.
