About the player
Olivia Thomas arrived at Denver Summit FC with a college finish few strikers ever get: a game-winning goal in the 2024 NCAA final against Wake Forest that sealed the national championship for North Carolina and earned her the College Cup's Most Outstanding Offensive Player award. She scored four goals across that tournament run and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
She had joined the Tar Heels in 2023 after coming through the Michigan Hawks youth system, and stayed on to lead the team in scoring the following year with 13 goals, finishing her college career with 23 goals and 55 points. Alongside her college commitments, she also turned out for North Carolina Courage U23 in the USL W League in 2024.
Thomas signed with Denver Summit FC in January 2026, agreeing a three-year contract that runs through the 2028 season with a mutual option to extend a further year.
On the international front, she was called into a U.S. Under-20 women's training camp in Kansas City in the spring of 2025, listed among six forwards in the squad, though she has yet to make an appearance for any United States youth or senior side.
