Rayan Ghrieb

Rayan Ghrieb grew up in Strasbourg and started out with CS Sedan Ardennes before a spell with Le Mans, where he found real form with the reserve side. Toulon, Oberachern and Schiltigheim followed as staging posts, and it was at Schiltigheim that his scoring instinct first showed clearly, with 15 goals in a single season.

The move to USL Dunkerque turned into the making of him. In the 2022–23 Championnat National campaign he scored 14 league goals and set up eight more as Dunkerque went up to Ligue 2, and his form was recognised with the division's Revelation of the Season award for the best young player, plus an FFF Player of the Month prize in March 2023. Ligue 2 itself proved a harder step: he managed two goals in 26 appearances for Dunkerque the following season.

In August 2025 Ghrieb moved abroad for the first time, signing for 1. FC Magdeburg in the 2. Bundesliga. He settled into a regular role there, making around 26 or 27 appearances and scoring four goals in the 2025–26 season. That form was enough to persuade 1. FC Nürnberg to sign him for the following campaign, in a deal worth a reported €600,000 that could rise to €1 million with add-ons. He was among the substitutes for his Nürnberg debut, coming on in a 2:2 draw against Holstein Kiel.

Ghrieb has French-Algerian roots but has not been capped by France at any level, and while he has been linked with a possible switch to Algeria, no call-up has followed.
