Snyder Brunell

Snyder Brunell scored on his Major League Soccer debut for Seattle Sounders, finding the net against LA Galaxy on 10 August 2025. He struck again against the same opponents in the Leagues Cup semi-final.

His route into professional football started far from Seattle. Born in Plano, Texas, he joined Crossfire Premier's academy at the age of nine, before his family relocated to Washington state in 2017. He moved into the Sounders academy in 2021 and turned professional with the club's reserve side, Tacoma Defiance, making his debut there in July 2022 and signing his first professional contract in December 2023. He made 61 appearances and scored seven goals for Tacoma, including four in 26 games during the 2024 campaign.

Brunell had his first taste of senior football with Seattle in the US Open Cup in May 2024. In July 2025 he signed a Homegrown contract with the club running through the 2028 season, with an option for 2029; as a product of the academy, the move carried no transfer fee. By November 2025 he had made ten appearances for the first team, scoring twice.

Brunell has represented the United States at youth level, with five caps for the under-18s — including a call-up to the UEFA Friendship Cup — and two for the under-19s.
