Berca

Petrolul played in Divizia C from 1968 to 2006, missing only the 1973–74 season, and its best finish there was fifth. In 1993–94 Berca went up to Divizia B on the pitch, then the Romanian federation docked the club eight points for match-fixing and the promotion was gone.

Ciprian Petre was born in Berca and came through every age group here before a career that took him to Gloria Bistrița; he returned in 2026 as a guest of the club. Marian Alexandru, a goalkeeper, also started here and went on to Farul Constanța and the national side.

The county title has come six times, first in 1976–77, most recently in 2025–26 — and that last one arrived alongside the Cupa României pe Județ Buzău, won 2-0 against Gloria Vadu Pașii in the final.
