Boldmere St. Michaels

Sutton Coldfield sits on the northern edge of Birmingham. Boldmere St. Michaels began in 1883 attached to the local parish in Boldmere, and it took until 1912 before the club joined a league at all. The high point came in 1947-48, when a run to the semi-finals of the FA Amateur Cup ended at Highbury against Barnet in front of 26,000 spectators.

The 1980s and 1990s gave Boldmere its second identity. League titles came in 1985-86 and 1988-89, and in 1989-90 the club took the league, League Cup and Tony Allden Cup together. That spell of success carried them into the Midland Alliance as founder members in 1994. More recently, a runners-up finish in the Midland League Premier Division in 2021-22 brought promotion to the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands.

Local rivalries still shape the calendar: the derby with Sutton Coldfield Town , while the Boxing Day fixture against Walsall Wood .

The club plays in white shirts with black shorts and hooped socks, known to their own as The Mikes, at the Boldmere Community Stadium — a ground that has changed its name more than once, having spent years as the Trevor Brown Memorial Ground in tribute to a former chairman before taking its current title in 2023.
