Flénu

Flénu is a district of Jemappes, on the western edge of the Mons arrondissement in Hainaut, with a football ground on Rue des Produits. The name on the pitch there goes back to 1944, but the club that carried it spent the 1990s being absorbed: first into a merger with Royale Union Jemappienne, then, in 1998, out of existence altogether when that combined side folded into the Mons club. Three years passed with no team of its own. The current FC Flénu was registered in 2001 to put one back.

Most of the two decades that followed were spent in provincial football. Then came April 2022 and the title in Provincial 2B Hainaut, and the following season the interprovincial final, which took the club into Division 3 ACFF. Two promotions inside two years for a side that had been playing district opposition; a third followed, into the Division 2 FFA for the 2025–2026 campaign.

The rivalry that matters is with Bosquetia Frameries, a few kilometres down the road — the history between them has more to do with geography than with anything either side has won. Red and white are the colours.
