Frontignan

Frontignan Thau Handball came together in 1991, when three local sides in the Hérault — Frontignan Athlétique Club, Olympique Sétois Joliot Curie and Handball Olympique Mézois — merged under the name Thau Handball, later adopting its present name.

The turning point came in 2022, when Frontignan won Nationale 1 and went up to Proligue, the country's second tier. They have stayed there since, finishing fifth in their first campaign and reaching the play-off semi-finals the following season. In the Coupe de France, the furthest they have gone is the last sixteen. The women's section, promoted to Nationale 1 in 2018, went on to join forces with Montpellier Handball the following year, a partnership that still shapes training between the two clubs.
