Kasuka enters the 2026 season having just missed out on a third straight Brunei Super League crown, beaten 3-2 by Indera SC on the final day of 2025-26 after Indera snatched the title away. That match capped a season that also produced the highest-scoring game in the league's history, a 26-1 win over Hawa FC.

The squad has been built on imported firepower rather than a production line of academy graduates. Willian dos Santos scored 35 goals in the 2024-25 title-winning campaign, a season after the Liberian forward Leon Sullivan Taylor had top-scored with 31. Bruneian players such as Helmi Zambin and the goalkeeper Azman Ilham Noor, named the league's best at his position that same season, fill out a side still leaning on returnees from DPMM FC rather than its own youth pipeline.

None of this looked likely in 2007-08, when Kasuka withdrew from the B-League with two matches left to play and had that season's results wiped from the record. Promotion arrived a year later, through the Brunei Premier League title in 2015, and started the club back toward the top flight it now leads. It began, in 1993, as something smaller still: a team put together by residents of Kampong Sungai Kedayan who simply wanted to compete in the district league.
