The under-19s train and play at the Centre Technique Sportif de la Gaillette, at the Stade Daniel Leclercq, a ground built for a thousand spectators rather than the 38,223 the senior side fills at Bollaert-Delelis on a Saturday night. That gap between grounds is the honest measure of what the age group is for: it produces players, and only sometimes trophies of its own.

When it has produced trophies, the Coupe Gambardella has been the vehicle — Lens won it in 1957 and 1958, then again in 1992, and lost finals in 1995 and 2016 that the club still counts among the near-misses. The most recent continental run came in the 2023–24 UEFA Youth League, when the side reached the round of 16, a stage past which few French academy teams get to see their own name.
