The football section came first, in a town outside Warsaw where a club could still carry boxing and table tennis under one roof; handball at Marcovia grew out of that broader project rather than the other way round. It took until August 2020 for the women's game to find its present shape, when the section merged with KPR ROKiS Radzymin to field a joint side that competes under both names.

The wait since has been long. Marcovia's group in the I Liga Kobiet has been theirs for the taking twice over — an 18-0 season in 2023/2024 among them — yet promotion slipped away in 2024, when a decisive match against SPR Olkusz ended 29-33. It took the Champions' Tournament in Płock two years later to settle it: a 25-20 win over KS Zgoda Ruda Śląska, then a heavy 22-34 loss to hosts MMKS Jutrzenka Płock, and still enough to send the team up into the Liga Centralna Kobiet for 2026/27.

Katarzyna Adaczyńska carries the club's name furthest beyond the league table — she also plays beach handball for Poland. Domestically, the rivalry that matters most is with MKS AZS UMCS Lublin, the side Marcovia has had to get past to top Group C.

Marcovia plays in green and yellow, at the Hala Sportowa MCER on ulica Wspólna in Marki — a hall built to seat 758, with roughly two-thirds of that capacity made up of foldable seating brought out for the bigger nights.
