Nottingham Forest Women

Nottingham Forest Women head into the 2025–26 season in the Women's Super League 2, the second tier of the English game, having won the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division in 2024–25. That title arrived alongside another FA Women's National League Cup and came in the same campaign that saw the club move its league fixtures to The City Ground full-time, folding the women's side into the same stadium and full-time programme as the men's first team.

The badge is shared now too. In June 2019 what had been Nottingham Forest Ladies stopped operating as its own entity and was absorbed into the men's club structure, taking the Nottingham Forest Women name and the first team's crest in place of its own.

Mary Earps spent a season with the club, in 2010–11, before the goalkeeping career that took her to a World Cup Golden Glove; Deanne Rose, an Olympic gold medallist with Canada, joined in 2025. The fixture against Derby County Women, contested as the East Midlands Derby, has drawn record crowds at Pride Park.

None of that existed before an advert ran in the men's team's matchday programme in 1990, asking for players to form a women's side. A Nottingham team had turned out in the Notts and Derby League back in the early 1970s, but it was that programme advert, placed by the Nottingham Forest Community arm, that gave the current club its start.
